What is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee
A Licensed Insolvency Trustee (“LIT”) is the only professional who is authorized to administer government regulated insolvency proceedings such as a consumer proposal or bankruptcy, that allows you to be discharged from your debt and get a financial fresh start.
Meeting with a LIT for your consultation to review your specific circumstances and review all of the options for dealing with those debts is free, whether or not you decide to proceed with a filing of a consumer proposal or bankruptcy.
A LIT is an officer of the Court and as such represents an impartial role in the balancing of your rights and those of the creditors.
When you choose to engage the services of a LIT, you can be assured that you are dealing with someone who has the knowledge, experience and skills to be granted a license by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.

J. Wayne Weber, CIRP LIT
Wayne is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) and a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP). Wayne has been working in the field of personal insolvencies since 2002 in many capacities and obtained his license as a LIT in 2013.
Wayne enjoys assisting people in financial difficulty by explaining their options to them in an unbiased, non-judgmental and straightforward manner, and providing them with the information from which they can make an informed decision with respect to their individual circumstances.
